It's January in Washington and it is 57 degrees.

Tomorrow, it will be 70, if the esteemed Topper Shutt, meteorologist working at WUSA television is to be believed. Thus I have given up on the hope of snow arriving in Washington, DC. Premature? Maybe. But we haven't had a winter that feels like winter since February 2003 when I got to drive through what was almost a blizzard long distance from Michigan back here . It's amazing.... all of this country's snow seems to be concentrated smack direct over Denver, Colorado this year. The weather service has stated that we've had a record setting warm start to winter. If this isn't global warming, it's a very reasonable facsimile.
